Date printed: 1790.Condition: This original 18th century copper plate map is lightly toned with light foxing, with short tears in the margins repaired on the back side with acid-free translucent paper mending tape, and folds as issued but overall in very good condition. Dimensions: 28.5 x 21.5 (including margins). Details: A detailed map of Egypt, Abyssinia, and the Red Sea covering all of these regions from the Mediterranean to central Africa. It shows the travels of James Bruce, a Scottish adventurer, in his quest to discover the source of the Blue Nile. .
