Gift quality hardcover in red cloth covered boards with black titles and ruled lines has sharp tips and bumped spine ends. Stated third impression on title page without a printed date but a gift dedication on frt pastedown is dated 1932. Not exlib. 288pp text plus further 30pp publisher's catalog bound in. All else is crisp and unmarked, no soil, no dog-eared tips. Original color illustrated, unclipped, unpriced dust wrapper shows a 1/2" x 1" chip at head of spine that ends at rear gutter, foot of spine tatty and two tiny chips at upper tips and two 1/4" closed tears at head of frt panel. Light surface soil on white background jacket front illustrated with a fetching portrait of the bowler and doe skin glove wearing Ariadne peering though an oversized horseshoe that has a spray of shamrocks tied onto it. Spine of jacket sunned and title/author faded but still legible. Spine ends tatty with tiny chips but still displays well in mylar.
