Graphs; This book is in Very Good+ condition and has a Very Good- dust jacket. The book and its contents are in generally clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. A previous owner has ink stamped his name (very small stamp) on the bottom front flap of the dust jacket and top edge of the front pastedown page. The dust jacket has a long semi-closed tear to the front panel, along with another smaller semi-closed tear. The spine ends and corners of the dust jacket have edge wear, rubbing and bumping. "In the field of heat transfer, in which in the twenties he gained renown through the statement of the well-known Dittus-Boelter equation, Dean Boelter's laboratory was extended to the groves of the citrus experiment station in Riverside. There the problem of orchard heating in the early thirties grew to such proportions that in 1944 he was given the additional appointment of Agricultural Engineer in the University of California Agricultural Experiemtn Station at Davis."
