The Blue Yarn [Kalaf-e Abi]

Soheila Amirsoleimani is an associate professor of Persian at the University of Utah. Her scholarly works are on early Perso-Islamic history and classical Persian literature, involving texts such as Tarikh-i Bayhaqi and Qabusnama. She has published her works in Iranian and Islamic studies journals in Europe and the U.S. She writes poetry in both Persian and English. She lives outside San Francisco with her husband and daughter. Her first collection of poetry, Death is also Blue, was published in 2002.
