Decorated green cloth with a nice pictorial image to the front cover and gilt detailing. Complete with 32 tipped-in colored plates, including the frontispiece, and a folding map of California to rear. Top edge gilt. Some wear to cloth on front hinge and head of spine (see image). Small card shadow to Chapter VI title page. Minor foxing to rear affecting the edges of the map (see image), but otherwise an attractive clean copy with no previous owners' names or other defacements. 7.25 x 9.5 in (18.5 x 24 cm) First Edition.
