Second impression two volume hardback set, 1944, with no jackets. In overall good-to-very good used condition with only minor signs of age, handling and storage - boards rubbed and faded to spines and edges with a couple of slight marks. Bindings tight and appear little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; toning to page-ends but text and illustrations bright and clear throughout. This set is both large and very heavy (over 3kg packaged) and additional postage will be required if shipped outside the UK. Photographs available. Not an old library book.
