From an album assembled by a GI during World War II. He appears to have been a member of the 71st Infantry, and first trained at Camp Roberts, California, then later at Camp Carson, Colorado. He finally trained as a member of the 10th Mountain Division and trained as a ski trooper at Camp Hale, Colorado. He was a member of the forces that occupied the area of Adolf Hitler's house in Berchtesgaden, Germany. Identifications as found on back and from supporting information. 3 x 4 1/2". Taken by the man who put together the album, not identified.
