Signed by author on the title page. Original pictorial dust jacket is rubbed edges with several chips missing top edge. Prior owner has "scotch" tape repaired and reinforced the open chips along the upper edge. An exceptionally uncommon juvenile fiction title. The author was a native of lebanon, PA and wrote two monographs on plants cultivated in upstate NY. VG+/VG- Rare title; not found in the Library of Congress or in library collections.
